Smile singer Lily Allen is recovering in hospital after being diagnosed with septicaemia, just days after suffering a tragic miscarriage.

Things have gone from bad to worse for poor Lily, who had been at her home in Gloucestershire when she became ill with blood poisoning.
The star was rushed to hospital, and her publicist confirmed her illness in a statement. ‘Lily Allen is back in hospital, where she is being treated for septicaemia,' it read.
‘She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve.
‘Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone whilst she recovers.’

On Friday the singer had gone on Twitter to show her gratitude to fans for their flood of support, posting the tweet ‘Thank you for all your kind messages.’
It was revealed that sadly Lily had suffered a miscarriage six months into her pregnancy last Monday.
‘It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby,' a sad statement read.
