Leona Lewis to return to X Factor stage

The singing sensation is to perform once again on the stage that propelled her to international stardom

Leona Lewis is to make a triumphant return to the X Factor stage to perform her latest single.

Leona, who won the TV talent show back in 2006, is to perform her new single Happy on the Sunday night results show on November 8th – and will be sharing the stage with US sensations, The Black Eyed Peas.

The appearance will mark her first live performance since she was viciously attacked by a crazed fan during a book signing earlier this month.

29-year-old Peter Kowalczyk has since been charged with assault, and sectioned under the Mental Health Act, after allegedly punching Leona in the face in the Waterstone’s Piccadilly store.

Leona was left understandably shaken by the incident, cancelling promotional appearances and tour dates, and yesterday spoke out for the first time since it happened.

‘It could’ve been worse, I’m still alive,’ she said. ‘It is just something that you have to deal with when you have fame – and the positives far outweigh the negatives.’

‘I don’t like to dwell on the negatives. I’m a very positive person.’

So it seems the pop princess is ready to return to the stage, and what a return it’s going to be. Leona Lewis, The Black Eyed Peas and John and Edward? That’s going to be one helluva show…. We can’t wait!
