Just weeks before the Glee actor was found dead in his hotel room, Lea Michele gave an emotional, candid interview about her co-star and boyfriend to Marie Claire Mexico
Lea Michele says Cory Monteith made her feel like she could ‘do anything in the world’, during her last interview before the star’s unexpected death.
Lea gave a candid interview to Marie Claire Mexico on the set of her August cover shoot, just five weeks before the Glee actor’s tragic death.
She said: ‘[Cory] is the best person I know, he has made my life so incredible, and I am so thankful for him and not only to have him as a partner but also as a co-worker.’
The Glee star went on to say: ‘It is important to have someone that supports you and encourages you, someone that makes you feel that you are unstoppable, that you can do anything in the world because you have him.”
The words ‘The Show Must Go On’ are splashed across her svelte figure on the cover of the August 2013 issue, which is published next week in spite of recent events.
Cory Monteith accompanied Lea on hr shoot, which took place in Beverly Hills, and it’s believed to be one of their final meetings before he died. Marie Claire Mexico Editor-In-Chief Ariadne Grant said the couple were both very obviously happy and in love.
He explains: ‘Lea Michele arrived early with her beauty team and her agent and was always professional, dedicated and her experience was obvious on the photo shoot but showed another side of her personality, softer and more innocent, on the interview when she got all excited with some questions, she said she loved Mexico so much.
‘That side was even more evident when Cory showed up almost at the end of the session, she was very happy about him being there.’
