We LOVE Kerry Washington. Almost as much as her super-fan Lena Dunham, who interviews the Scandal star in the June issue of Marie Claire. Fabulous, hardworking and oh-so-wise, she's not short on pearls of wisdom, that's for sure. Here's some of our favourites from the interview:
ON CHILDHOOD
'When I was a kid and people would say, 'Oh, she's so cute,' my mother would say, "She's also really smart." I never trafficked in that stuff.'
ON FASHION
'I don't like this thing about who got it right and who got it wrong, because we're not all trying to be the same person.'
ON CELEBRITY
'When people ask, "who's your celebrity crush?" I feel like I can't say because I'm going to see them and it's going to be really weird.'
