Keira Knightley's salary has been revealed – and it certainly explains the low-key South of France wedding.

Keira Knightley earned around £1.5million last year – but it turns out that her actual bank balance isn't far off our own.

Keira's salary has been leaked to the press today and shows that the A-list paid herself just £30,000 last year, despite her company Kck Boo Ltd banking a whole lot more from movie and fashion deals.

A source tells The Sun: "Keira took home £20,000 in dividends from the company in 2012 and a salary of £11,000.

"Her biggest expenditure put through the books was £41,000 on security, but she spent little else.

"Her travel costs were just over £4,000 and she didn’t pay for a personal trainer, despite spending almost £1,000 on one the year before. The accounts also show that she did not shell out a penny on clothes and make-up."

That's where designers and beauty brands come in. As the face of Chanel's Mademoiselle fragrance, Keira is likely to be gifted all the perfume and beauty products she needs, without having to pay for them.

So she obviously likes to keep a close eye on her bank balance, which explains her low-key wedding to Klaxons keyboard player James Righton earlier this month.

The couple's wedding had just 11 guests, and Keira recycled an old gown for the event.

So much for being a millionaire. We have more in common with Keira than we thought!
