Say goodbye to Katy Perry, and hello to Katy Brand! The singer has revealed she wants to change her surname since tying the knot to Russell Brand last month.

It's always interesting to see whether A-list ladies choose to keep their name after getting married - a la Katie Holmes, Nicole Kidman & Demi Moore - or opt to adopt the surname of their new husband, like Victoria Beckham or Cheryl Cole.

But it appears Katy Perry is in the latter category, as she's revealed she's planning on legally becoming Mrs Brand.

Appearing on the Ellen Degeneres show yesterday, the singer explained that she's already 'in the process' of taking on her husband's name.

When asked if she gets called Mrs Brand already, she replied: 'I do actually!'

'Sometimes when people try to get my attention, like at an event or something, and they want special attention, they go "Mrs Brand!"'

Ellen then followed up by asking Katy outright if she's planning on changing her name, to which the star admitted: 'Yes, I am actually. I'm in the process.'
