I Kissed a Girl songstress Katy Perry has embarked on a strict wedding diet to get in shape for her big day later this year, when she’ll tie the knot to Russell Brand.

It’s thought the famous pair are planning to wed in October, and have already sent out ‘save the date’ invites, asking guests to keep a whole week free for the nuptials.

It’s thought they plan to fly guests out to India for the ceremony.

And now Katy’s keen to get in shape and has embarked on a ‘strict diet’ to look her best on the big day, cutting out sugar from her diet, and dining on lean mean and steamed vegetables instead.

‘Katy sees pictures of herself in a bikini and will find some flab here, a few dimples there,’ one insider revealed.

The star’s also said to have stepped up her exercise regime, including skipping, weight lifting, cardio and yoga in her campaign to get fit.
