Kate's hair stylist has confirmed the rumours, and revealed that the model has stripped off for Playboy

Kate Moss will appear naked in Playboy magazine, according to her close friend and hairdresser.

Although the rumours have been swirling around for months, it now seems certain that the British model will make her debut on the cover of the famous title after her hair stylist let it slip backstage at one of his recent shows.

According to reports on Refinery29, Oribe Canales confirmed the rumours whilst chatting backstage at the La Fama hair show in Miami. He revealed that the shoot, which he worked on in London, has already wrapped and the issue will hit newsstands in January 2014. It's also understood that the saucy pictures were shot by acclaimed fashion photography duo, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and was styled by W Magazine's fashion editor Alex White.

Stories claiming that Kate Moss would become the Playboy centrefold for the iconic magazine's 60th anniversary issue first surfaced in March after an internal memo about the shoot was leaked.

Kate has never been shy when it comes to showing off her figure. But even though she's bared all for the likes of Pirelli and Love magazine in the past, the Playboy pictures are expected to be one of her most high profile nude shoots.

The model will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Pamela Anderson, Drew Barrymore and, more recently, Lindsay Lohan, who have all stripped off for Playboy.

We can't wait to see the results!
