The heavily-pregnant Duchess of Cambridge spent her weekend shopping in Hungerford, while Princes William and Harry, plus Pippa, were on wedding duty...
Kate Middleton may have missed out on the society wedding of the year on Saturday, but she made up for it with a spot of shopping.
The heavily pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, whose baby is due next month, pulled out of Lady Melissa Percy’s wedding in favour of a relaxing weekend antique shopping in Hungerford. Prince William, Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton meanwhile, were all in attendance at the nuptials, held in Northumberland.
Kate was last seen supporting Prince William and the Queen at the Trooping the Colour ceremony last weekend in what was her final public appearance before the birth of the royal baby.
On Saturday, she was photographed strolling around Hungerford shopping for antiques for her new home in Kensington Palace.
The pictures show the royal cradling her baby bump while browsing the shop’s items, while wearing black leggings, black ballet pumps, a black top and a beige trench coat. She was carrying a soft grey leather handbag filled with papers.
Kate’s famous brunette locks were tied back into a half-up hairstyle, while the only jewellery she wore was her huge diamond-encrusted engagement ring and her wedding ring.
The Duchess has gained a reputation for her love of antiques, regularly visiting independent shops wherever she goes.
This weekend, Kate was browsing in Youll’s Antiques in Berkshire, which prides itself on ‘constantly changing large and varied stock of 18th and 19th century, French and English furniture and quality antiques’.
That royal baby is going to have one stylish nursery…
