Kate Middleton was all smiles as she arrived at the glittery SportsAid gala in London last night, attending the annual charity event in a laser-cut LBD.

Taking her pick of the Temperley London rails once again, the Duchess of Cambridge kept things suitably ladylike in the knee-length number.

A gorgeous post-pregnancy look from one of her favourite British designers, she accesorised with Jimmy Choo heels and Alexander McQueen’s bow clutch – Kate’s go-to when adding a pop of colour to her red carpet looks.

With Prince William on babysitting duty, and probably still running on adrenaline after his Bon Jobi duet, Kate made the solo appearance to support the charity – which she became patron of in April. The ceremony also saw the Duchess presented the coveted One-To-Watch award to one of the sporting world’s rising stars.

Prince George’s doting mum was later seen swapping tips with new mum, and Olympic gold-metallist rower, Anna Watskins.

‘She asked me what I’ve been up to since the Olympics and I said ‘well actually I’ve had a baby’. I had a son, William, two months ago,' Anna told The Mirror.

'Kate said congratulations and said ‘will you go back to rowing?’ I told her I have no current plans to but am not ruling it out. Live has changed.

'I didn’t ask about George I’m afraid, I didn’t pry about who was babysitting!'
