Kate Middleton is fast becoming the Queen of style recycling. After sporting several fashion re-runs in recent months, the Duchess of Cambridge re-wore yet another of her designer items on an outing with Prince William over the weekend: a scarlet L.K. Bennett coat.

Kate Middleton first wore the £276 scarlet Ami coat during an official engagement last winter, when she and Prince William travelled to a UNICEF relief centre in Denmark.

At the time, Kate teamed her cosy coat, which was reduced in the store's 2011 sale, with a matching leather belt and her favourite knee-length suede boot.

Fast forward a year, and the Duchess gave her bargain buy another outing, this time at the Millennium stadium in Cardiff, where she joined Prince William to watch a rugby match.

Wrapping up against the cold, Kate Middleton added the coat's original matching belt, finishing the ensemble with a ruby red clutch and delicate gold earrings.

Arriving at the famous stadium, Kate Middleton and Prince William met officials and former rugby players, as well as those who have been seriously injured while taking part in the sport.

Edward Jones of the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust, which supports injured players, said William and Kate's visit was 'a source of encouragement and inspiration to all those connected with the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust, both players and trustees alike'.

He continued: 'We are delighted that HRH the Duke of Cambridge has agreed to be patron of the trust and, in so doing, support the work of providing and caring for those who have suffered serious injury on the rugby field in Wales.'

Paul Davies MBE, who was paralysed on the rugby field nearly three decades ago, chatted to the Duke and Duchess before the match, said it was a 'pleasure' to meet the royal pair.

'I got the impression that both William and Kate were here for the trust, not just the match,' he said.

'It was a real pleasure for us to talk with them, and I think they felt it was a pleasure for them to talk with us too.'
