Kate Middleton was in stitches during the Buckingham Palace balcony appearance, after Prince Harry shared a joke

Kate Middleton may be the newest member of the Royal Family, but she seems to be getting on with the Windsor clan like a house on fire.

The Duchess of Cambridge happily chatted with several senior royals - including the Queen - during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, and seems to have struck up a particular bond with brother-in-law Prince Harry.

Clearly enjoying his sister-in-law's company, Harrywas spotted smiling and laughing with Kateon many occasions during the three-day event.

And when Prince William stood beside his grandmother on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during their final Jubilee appearance, Prince Harry kept a close eye on Kate, even whispering a joke which sent her into fits of giggles.

In the past, Prince Harry has made no secret of his fondness of 'fantastic' Kate, revealing his delight at gaining a sister shortly after William and Kate got engaged in October 2010.

'A younger brother or younger sister would have been nicer, but to have a big sister is obviously very, very nice,’ he said.

'I've got to knowKate pretty well, but now that she's becoming part of the family, I'm really looking forward to getting her under my wing - or she'll be taking me under her wing probably.

'She's a fantastic girl. She really is. My brother's very lucky, and she's very lucky to have my brother. I think the two of them are a perfect match.'
