Jamie Lynn Spears welcomes baby girl

Britney Spears' younger sister, Jamie Lynn, has given birth to a little baby girl.

The 17-year-old Spears sibling underwent an emergency caesarean after an ultrasound revealed the baby, who she has called Maddie Briann, might be in breach position.

The Spears clan, including Britney, were at the hospital in McComb, Mississippi when Jamie gave birth this morning at 9.30am (local time).

Britney flew home from LA yesterday, and arrived at the Mississippi Southwest Regional Hospital at 9am, along with brother Ryan, mum Lynne, and father Jamie.

Dad Jamie told America's Life & Style magazine: 'We're thrilled, we're all absolutely thrilled.'

Boyfriend Casey Aldridge, 19, proposed to the star in April this year - four months after she announced she was pregnant.

The pair have been dating for over two years after meeting at church.
