Gwyneth Paltrow is a heavyweight in the style stakes. She takes power dressing to the next level, her dreamy Tom Ford Oscars dress will go down in sartorial history and she never has a hair out of place.

However, in later years Gwyneth has become known for her very - unique, shall we say - health hacks. On her website, Goop, she famously advised readers to steam their vaginas, and later suggested that they put some jade eggs inside their vaginas in order to 'cultivate sexual energy and increase orgasm'. So that's where 50 Shades Darker got the idea for jiggle balls...

But 'conscious uncoupling' and expensive love eggs aside, Gwyneth has revealed that more recently she has been attempting to 'rid her body of parasites' by cleansing her insides.

And the key to an internal clean up? Drinking nothing but goats milk for eight days straight, apparently.

That means no large morning coffee, no lunchtime bento box, and definitely no delicious homemade cinnamon buns.

Talking to Women's Health, Gwyneth spoke of her interest in the impact of heavy metals and parasites on our bodies, saying: 'I think they're two of the biggest culprits in terms of why we feel bad. I'm knee-deep in figuring out ways to clear them from the body, looking at all sorts of potentially weird modalities.'

The 44-year-old actress also addressed the concerns of health specialists and doctors who have warned against the use of the jade eggs she advertises on her site.

'When I find something I think works, I like to share it with people... One of the best things someone ever said to me was that the only time criticism hurts is if you have a judgement about yourself about that very thing,' she responded.
