The lucky pair both took home prized awards at last night's prestigious ceremony in Hollywood

Argo, Homeland, Girls and Les Misérables were the big winners at the 2013 Golden Globes.

Adele, Quentin Tarantino, Jennifer Lawrence and Daniel Day Lewis and Dame Maggie Smith were also among those who took home prizes from the 70th annual awards ceremony, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Ben Affleck won the gong for Best Motion Picture and Best Director for Argo, Adele was honoured with the Best Original Song for Skyfall, while Daniel Day Lewis and High Jackman received nods for their roles in Lincoln and Les Miserables respectively, and Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence walked away with acting awards for their work in Zero Dark Thirty and Silver Linings Playbook.

In the TV awards, Homeland and Game Change stormed the Globes with three trophies apiece, while Girls took two awards home.
