Get Ready To See Lea Michele As You’ve NEVER Seen Her Before

Rachel Berry's a long way from Glee... Lea Michele is bouncing back from a difficult year with a solo career – and we've got the shots from her debut music video

Lea Michele has finally let us in on what we can expect from her solo career by sharing a sneak peek from the set of her debut music video. Smouldering into the camera with those famous smoky eyes (dressed no doubt in L’Oreal products), the Glee actress shows off her sexy new look, which is a world away from her timid character Rachel Berry in the hit musical series.

The new look comes after what’s been a tough year for the star as she comes to terms with the death of her co-star and boyfriend Cory Monteith, who was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver following an alcohol and heroin overdose in July.

And just as we expected, Lea will be paying tribute to her late love on her debut solo album, due for release in May 2014.

She revealed in an interview this week that a track dedicated to Cory entitled ‘You’re Mine’ will feature on the album, explaining: ‘The album was done, and the label said, “Do you want to add anything?” I was like, “I might regret it if I don’t”. It makes me so happy, this song. It makes me think so much of Cory. It was ours. When I think if him, I play this.’

We doubt there’ll be a dry eye when the album is released for download.

Things are looking up for the actress, whose multiple talents have seen her rack up some serious column inches in recent weeks. Rumours in Hollywood were suggesting that Glee producer Ryan Murphy was working on a spin-off series with Lea Michele as the lead star. But FOX quickly stopped this story in its tracks, telling the LA Times last week that there was ‘no truth’ in the rumour. Boooo.

Still, it looks like Lea has enough on her plate with a soon-to-be-released style book and her debut solo album. Cory would be so proud.

Taking to Twitter to share a few sneaky pictures from the set last night, Lea said: ‘SO EXCITED SHOOTING MY VERY FIRST MUSIC VIDEO TODAY FOR THE FIRST ALBUM SINGLE!’

She followed her message with a thank you tweet to her team with the hash tag ‘#dreamcometrue’.

We can’t wait to hear it, Lea…
