George Michael arrested in public loo again

George Michael yesterday disgraced himself again by being arrested in a public loo allegedly carrying crack cocaine and cannabis.

The Careless Whisper star was arrested on Friday at a public loo near Hampstead Heath, close to the home he shares with his lover, Kenny Goss.

The singing sensation reportedly begged police not to charge him, saying that a conviction could get him barred from America – where he's due to perform an Aids benefit gig next month – claiming his charity would lose £2 million in ticket sales if he could not go.

George, 45, last night apologised to his fans, saying: ‘I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I'll sort myself out.

‘And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them.’

George was arrested after police were apparently tipped off by an attendant who was monitoring the loos.

He was released by police after being cautioned for possession of a class A and class C drug.

It is not the first time George has been arrested for loitering in public loos – the singer was forced to publicly announce his homosexuality in 1998 after he was arrested in a public toilet in Beverly Hills for engaging in a lewd act.
