Remember that time our summer shop job wage got raised by 20p per hour? *Winning*, or so we thought. That was until we learned about the Game of Thrones casts' substantial pay bump for the last two series...

Seriously, it's enough to make us weep.

Five of the top cast members, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, - who respectively play Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrian Lannister, Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister and Jamie Lannister - are set to earn way over double their current

$160,000 (£110k) per episode.

Now, the top five are said to have bagged themselves $500k (£340k) per hour-long episode.

So how much are we looking per series?

With creators David Benioff and DB Weiss saying there will only be seven episodes for Season 7 and six for Season 8, it means they're going from $1.6million (£1.1m) per series to the eye-watering $6.5m (£4.45m) for the final two.

Well, news is that they're still negotiating their contracts, but they're likely to get hikes of the same magnitude, which they definitely deserve.
