Florence + the Machine singer Florence Welch has pulled out of Benicassim festival, after suffering 'acute vocal strain'
Florence Welch has been forced pull out of an appearance at Benicassim festival, after severely straining her voice.
The Florence + the Machine frontwoman, who also cancelled an appearance at the Spectrum festival in Portugal, has been told to rest her voice after suffering ‘acute vocal strain’ during a performance.
The songstress said it was ‘very frightening’ when she ‘felt something snap’, and is following advice from doctors to take it easy.
Taking to Twitter to apologise to fans, she said: ‘I’ve sustained a vocal injury and been told i cannot sing for a week… seriously i felt something snap, it was very frightening.”
‘I’m so sorry to all the fans, i was desperate to still perform, but was told without question not to, so as not to do permanent damage.;
Get well soon, Florence!
