Film bosses are pulling out all the stops for the final Hogwarts event

With the release date drawing near, Harry Potter bosses are pulling out all the stops to make sure the film's final premiere is the biggest ever, promising the special Trafalgar Square event will be the 'most spectacular yet'.

With the world’s media watching, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watsonand Rupert Grint will walk the Harry Potter red carpet for the final time at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 premiere, on July 7.

The giant event, held for the first time in London’s Trafalgar Square, will allow fans and media interact with the famous cast, before making the short journey to Leicester Square, to watch the film in cinemas.

‘We are delighted that our plans for the finale of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will take place in such a spectacular venue,’ Josh Berger, President of Warner Brothers UK said in a statement.

‘We pride ourselves on the creativity of our premieres and the space within Trafalgar Square will lend itself to being a magical experience for both guests and fans.’

London Mayor Boris Johnson has also spoken of his excitement at the event, being staged this summer.

‘For the last decade we've been gripped by the on-screen battle between Harry Potter and his arch enemy Lord Voldemort and this is one of the most eagerly awaited films in history,’ he said.

'As befits a great British triumph, I can think of no better venue than the iconic surroundings of Trafalgar Square in which to stage the most spectacular of send offs for this dramatic finale.'

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 hits screens worldwide on July 15.
