Almost every actor imaginable has been linked to a role in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, but we can now most certainly rule Jeremy Irvine out as he tells Marie Claire online he’s not interested.

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY KNOCKED OFF NO1 SPOT

While he promoted his latest starring role, in a new remake of Great Expectations, Jeremy told us: ‘I haven’t read it [Fifty Shades of Grey] there’s a movie in the offering but no, I haven’t gone for it.’

When we asked why, he was suitably diplomatic adding: ‘I don’t know enough about it to be up for the part.’

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY NOMINATED FOR BOOK AWARD

His current director, Mike Newell, took a more jovial approach to things asking, ‘Is this a dirty book for Watford? It’s a strange thing.’
