The Radio 1 DJ updated her platinum locks so she and her boy could have matching looks

Fearne Cotton wants to share everything with her darling baby boy - including her hair colour.

The stylish new mum made a trip to the hair salon this morning to switch up her platinum locks. And the inspiration from her dye job came from her 1-year-old son, Rex.

'New hair colour 100% based on my sons,' she wrote, sharing a close-up snap of her new 'do.

Unfortunately, this is no drastic celebrity makeover. Fearne's slightlier dustier blonde is a very subtle change from her previous shade.

But we absolutely love that Fearne, 32, wanted to dye her hair to match the wispy hairs on her son's head.

And it makes sense: Babies do always have the best natural highlights.
