Bruno stunt WAS fake, confirms MTV

The debate has finally been put to rest: after days of speculation, MTV has confirmed that the Sasha Baron Cohen and Eminem stunt at Sunday night's Movie Awards was staged.

MTV writer Scott Aukerman posted a message on his blog confirming that not only was the outrageous prank fake, but it was rehearsed as well.

He wrote, 'Yes, the Brüno/Eminem incident was staged. That's all anyone wants to talk about, so let's get it out of the way. They rehearsed it at dress and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show then.'

Appearing as his latest alter ego, gay fashionista Brüno, Baron Cohen fell from the ceiling clad in angel wings, knee-high boots and a bum-flashing thong, landing on top of a seemingly shocked Eminem.

The Slim Shady star looked less than amused as Bruno hung suspended in his lap with his groin directly in his face.

In horror the rapper was heard screaming, 'Are you serious? Are you f****** serious?' and then 'stormed' out of the building, reportedly in disgust over the prank.

So what was considered a serious sense of humour failure on behalf of the music star, was clearly some successful acting! Maybe Eminem should reconsider that movie career?
