Producer claims Ellen DeGeneres has passed on pet pooches before
CHAT SHOW QUEEN Ellen DeGeneres must have hoped the saga of giving away her adopted dog had died down, but it seems things are still hotting up.
It was revealed last week that the US presenter had given away her adopted dog, Iggy, to her hairdresser. The pooch was then reclaimed by the pet adoption agency because DeGeneres had broken the conditions of the adoption.
Following a heartfelt confession on her own chat show and a plea for the pet agency to return the dog to its new owner's family, it has been revealed this is not the first time DeGeneres has given away an unwanted dog.
LA producer, Kerri Randles, claims that she gave DeGeneres a male pooch named Stormy two years ago, only to discover less than two months later that Ellen had palmed the pet off on a member of her staff.
'I was totally shocked,' said Randles, 'I thought she was out of her mind.'
Now claims are being made that DeGeneres has given up several other dogs over the years. Howard Stern said on his Sirius show that he had heard the chat show host had done this nine times before.
Randles said DeGeneres seemed a perfect pet owner at first, but she quickly discovered the daytime TV hostess was 'neurotic and crazy.'
