Thor has just made himself a pretty penny

Want to live in Thor’s house? Well, unfortunately you've missed the boat as Chris Hemsworth has sold his stunning Malibu home for $7 million.

That's right, he made $500,000 profit from the sale - talk about a pretty penny.

According to website, Zillow, Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, are moving back to Australia and this is theh point where we pretend we're multi-millionaires scouting for a new pad in Malibu. Got it? Great.

The agent’s listing, courtesy of Ryan Davis from John Aaroe Group described the property as ‘a home fit for a god’ – that’s the Asgardian god of thunder, Thor, obvs.

The Hemsworths' former residence (they’ve already jetted back down under, so don’t expect them to give you a tour if you book a viewing) is a sprawling mansion, and was put on the market for $6,500,000.

The property boasts a guest house plus five bedrooms and six bathrooms over the main building’s two floors. The house has been immaculately decorated throughout – ‘a marriage of classic Victorian elegance and modern European sensibility’, which seems to mean a cool palette of stone tones, wood grains and other earthy neutrals.

The master bedroom also features two walk in wardrobes and opens on to ‘private lanai’ (so fancy we had to Google it: ‘an open-sided veranda, patio or porch originating in Hawaii’).

We could definitely get used to lounging on a lanai. Lanais are our new favourite things. LOOK AT THAT VIEW. That’s the Pacific Ocean right there on the doorstep, FYI.

And if and when we manage to tear ourselves away from the lanai, you’ll find us here: lounging and sofa hopping in the living room.

More highlights? There are many: if our kitchen looked anything like Hemsworth kitchen, we would definitely be better at cooking. Fact.

Plus, the bedroom is a sanctuary. We feel calm and sleepy just looking at it. AND, there is a games room, featuring arcade games and table football. This confirms our suspicions: we would get along VERY well with Chris Hemsworth.
