Nadine's still trailing in the midweek charts after selling a sorry 117 copies of her single on Monday, but will she beat Cheryl to the top spot on Sunday?

We feel a Girls Aloud chart battle brewing. With Cheryl Cole’s single still at number one, it was always going to be a tricky week for Nadine Coyle to release her track. But it seems the star is already losing the race, with her new song Insatiable coming in at just 35 in the midweek charts.

The star set out on a whirlwind publicity tour over the weekend, dazzling with a whole host of live performances and radio interviews.

But despite her best efforts, Nadine's single only sold a sorry 117 copies when it was released on Monday.

And it seems download sales haven’t been much better, notching up around 2,500, compared to Rihanna's 47,000, and Cheryl's 150,00 when it was released in October.

Nadine took to the Daybreak sofa earlier today in an effort to boost sales, and - to her credit - put in a show stopping performance, albeit in a dodgy looking denim jacket.

Despite poor midweek sales there’s still time, with some predicting the song – available exclusively at Tesco – will jump much higher up the charts as the week goes on.
