Cheryl Cole to return to American X Factor?

The starlet has reportedly been offered her job back, if she can show Fox bosses she’s ‘committed to making it work’

In yet another bizarre twist to the American X Factor tale, it’s rumoured bosses have gone back on their decision to sack Cheryl Cole from the show, and offered the star her high profile job back – IF she can prove she’s 'committed to making it work.'

With still no official word from the star herself, Simon Cowell OR X Factor bosses, we’ve been kept in the dark ever since news of Cheryl's sensational sacking came to light.

Everything from a clash with fellow judge Paula Abdul, to homesickness, to people failing to understanding her accent has been cited as the reason for the star’s early exit, with some saying bosses simply felt Ms C had ‘lost her sparkle’ and decided to axe her from the show.

The Girls Aloud singer was reportedly re-offered her old job on the UK X Factor – which she’s said to have refused – while whispers have been flying that she's been hard at work organising a Girls Aloud reunion.

Now, in the biggest turn of events so far, some are claiming network bosses have done a U-turn on their decision to sack Cheryl from the show, and decided to offer her her original job back.

‘The fact is that they did fire Cheryl,’ one insider told the Daily Mail. ‘She’s now been offered her job back, but they have messed her around completely. She is debating what to do.’

‘Key executives at Fox realised they had made a big mistake,’ another added. ‘They have been watching the tapes of her at the American auditions and realised she could be a huge star over there.’

It’s thought Cheryl is currently considering a return to the show – and her £1.2 million contract – but feels ‘somewhat betrayed’ by the way she has been treated. 

‘It may not be Simon who originally pushed the trigger, but Cheryl has always felt extremely close to Simon, she respected him and knew that she owed him a great deal – but now she feels somewhat betrayed,’ one insider reportedly revealed.

‘If she goes back, she also feels that some will say that she’s been part of the greatest PR stunt in history.’
