Cheryl Cole celebrates 25th birthday with Ashley

Ashley Cole: all is forgiven. That was the message Cheryl sent out on the couple's first public outing together to celebrate her 25th birthday since rumours surfaced the football player cheated on her.

And if Cheryl's beaming smile is anything to go by, the couple are definitely back on track.

Neither star wore their wedding ring for the outing, but Cheryl was obviously overjoyed that Ashley made the trip to Manchester to celebrate her big day, and she was glowing in a Sixties-style shift dress and bright orange heels.

The couple have reportedly been working on their relationship, and recently spent a weekend in the Costa del Sol during a break from her busy X Factor filming schedule.

The singer was recently revealed as the new judge on the ITV show, replacing Sharon Osbourne in a reported £500,000 deal.

As well as being showered with cards and presents, the star also received a customised cake, which featured a make-up kit and matching handbag, and later enjoyed dinner in Manchester's Wing restaurant.
