Mariah Carey Christmas Carpool Karaoke

You might have thought that James Corden's Carpool Karaoke couldn't get any better – but it just did. Mariah Carey has filmed a Christmas edition of Carpool Karaoke, and it's literally all we want for Christmas.

Mariah and James drove around in an SUV with a Christmas tree attached to it (naturally) and James was appropriately decked out in a Christmas jumper – because, what else?

While there are endless holiday hits Mariah can choose from for her festive appearance, there's only one that we really want to hear. No Mariah Carey Christmas appearance would be complete without her singing All I Want for Christmas is You. And just wait until you see who else makes a guest appearance.

Bruno Mars Carpool Karaoke

Bruno Mars' Carpool Karaoke is here, people, and it's (24 karat) magic.

The Uptown Funk singer was spotted filming in the car with James Corden back on the 18th November, pretty much confirming that he would be the next star to take the passenger seat for a sing-a-long with The Late Late Show host. The star also shared the below picture to Instagram, which was pretty telling...

Madonna Carpool Karaoke

Pop legend Madonna is the latest star of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke and it's a must-watch. She reveals how she once kissed Michael Jackson and she gets her Vogue on, sings along to Don't Cry For Me Argentina and even attempts some in-car twerking...

Madge was spotted out and about filming her karaoke segment for the show, and also posted the below Instagram picture of her and James while filming.

Great pouts, guys.

With the likes of Britney Spears and Adele gracing the Carpool Karaoke car, it was really only a matter of time until Madonna featured. We're so ready to watch this one.

Lady Gaga Carpool Karaoke

Lady Gaga recently confirmed took to Twitter to share the news with her fans that she would be the next star to appear on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke. Naturally, Gaga's Little Monsters went into meltdown over the news and for good reason – watching her belt out her biggest tunes with Corden was everything we'd hoped it would be and more. Who knew Lady Gaga was so funny?

While we wait for Gaga's appearance to drop, take a look back on the very best stars who have already appeared on Carpool Karaoke...

Britney Spears Carpool Karaoke

It was really only a matter of time before the queen of teen pop herself joined the ranks of Carpool Karaoke stars. Naturally, all of our favourite Britney hits were covered, and James Corden even joined Britney in dressing up in that schoolgirl costume from Baby One More Time. We just can't explain how good it is. You need to watch.

FLOTUS Carpool Karaoke

When you've had George Clooney, One Direction, and Justin Bieber on your show, where do you go next? Who is famous enough, amazing enough, that you can top some of the world's most famous faces?

Michelle Obama Carpool Karaoke

That's right. The First Lady of the United States was on Carpool Karoke. And it was literally everything we could ever have dreamed of. Why are American politicians inherently so much cooler than ours? Much as we love Philip May, we really can't see him jamming to Missy Elliot. Words can't do Michelle's appearance justice. Just watch it.

James Corden and Late Late Show executive producer Ben Winston are said to be shopping out the carpool concept to TV stations - and according to reports, it's already garnering massive interest. Did someone say massive bidding war?

While James won’t be hosting the show himself (what, is he really busy or something?), he will be heavily involved as executive producer and likely to make an appearance on the show. Apparently a network and a host will be announced very soon.

Giving Carpool Karaoke its very own show makes perfect sense, since kicking off the videos have become The Late Late Show’s biggest viral success with 412million views on YouTube, and Adele’s January instalment roping in a massive 84 million views.

However, the show may already be up against a big rival, as network Spike, have already commissioned a show called Caroke Showdown, which will be hosted by The Office (US) star and comedian Craig Robinson.

Ohh car karaoke drama, who’d have thought it?

To celebrate Carpool Karaoke’s success, let’s take a look at our favourite car sharing, singing moments so far… (We challenge you not to sing along.)

Red Hot Chili Peppers Carpool Karaoke

When James Cordon invited the Red Hot Chili Peppers into his car, their soft rock vibes took us back to the early noughties. Cordon and the gang sang their way through their impressive repertoire of the Chilli Pepper's hits that you'll definitely remember the words to, including “Can’t Stop,” “Californication,” “The Zephyr Song”, getting hot and deciding to strip off, though drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer did remain fully clothed throughout. Not content to keep their antics to the car, at one point, Corden pulled over so he and frontman Anthony Kiedis could partake in some manly wrestling on a lawn.
