Cara Delevingne has reportedly been cast to play Amanda's sister Deanna in Michael Winterbottom's new biopic

Cara Delevingne has reportedly been cast as Amanda Knox’s sister in Michael Winterbottom’s controversial new biopic, The Face Of An Angel.

The British supermodel, who is already listed on film site IMDB.com as being part of the cast, was originally rumoured to have landed the role of a news reporter in the upcoming movie.

But now it's been revealed that Cara's set to play Amanda Knox's sibling, Deanna, in the film about the shocking 2009 murder trial in Italy.

The 21-year-old pow-browed beauty is said to be waiting for director Michael Winterbottom to officially announce her casting, but a friend accidentally broke the news to MailOnline after she was forced to pull out of the Victoria's Secret show in New York.

'Victoria’s Secret want Cara to do the show this year', the source told the tabloid. ‘They love the quirkiness she brings. But acting is where her heart really lies and she wants to prioritise that over modelling.’

Knox was jailed in 2009 for killing British student Meredith Kercher in Italy, but her conviction was later overturned.

The model, who recently finished work on new Brit flick Kids In Love, has previously appeared in Anna Karenina and reportedly tried out for a role in 50 Shades of Grey.

Her latest role will see the model starring alongside Kate Beckinsale and Rush star Daniel Brühl in the hotly-awaited - and highly controversial - biopic.
