He may be the ex-husband of her very best friend, but starlet Courteney Cox could hardly hide from Brad Pitt as they attended an intimate industry dinner for manager Cynthia Pett-Dante's birthday.

The pair – who formed a friendship when Brad was married to Courteney’s BFF Jennifer Aniston – put the past behind them and enjoyed a friendly catch up at the event, held at Eva Longoria’s Hollywood eatery Beso,
And far from being awkward, it seems they enjoyed their meeting, looking ‘relaxed and happy,’ according to onlookers.
‘They hugged and kissed when they greeted each other,’ one insider told People. ‘They talked for a while.’
‘They were chatting, catching up,’ the source added. ‘They both seemed happy and totally relaxed, very at ease. And they were both smiling the entire time. It didn't seem awkward at all.’
