Beyoncé celebrated her 34th birthday this weekend as only Beyoncé would...

Beyoncé celebrated her 34th birthday this weekend as only Beyoncé would – she held a concert, made a playlist, partied with Blue Ivy and had a feminist 'hell yeah!' moment. Obviously.

Here’s your need-to-know…

The ‘Mixtape’ Yes kicking off the internationally-recognised holiday that is #BeyDay, Beyoncé shared a playlist made for her by her friends and family on her website. Tracks chosen included Coldplay’s Yellow by her husband Jay Z, with the adorable note, ‘This song reminds me of you and I on vacation. ‘Look at the stars, look how they shine for you.’ It’s us in our own world, totally lost in love.’

Daughter Blue Ivy also picked Part Of That World from the Little Mermaid and we’ve basically melted inside.

The Performance Beyoncé shared her big day with thousands of concert-goers at the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia, putting on a high voltage headline performance like no other. In case there was ever any doubt, she's back and better than ever.

The Moment For Feminism She’s previously sampled from the speeches of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for her track **Flawless, and now she’s shedding new light on how to be ‘femininely badass.’ Introducing her 2009 hit Diva (aka the female version of a hustler) Beyoncé quoted MMA fighter Ronda Rousey and the crowd went wild.

‘Just because my body was developed for a purpose other than fucking millionaires doesn't mean it's masculine,’ the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s heroine said.

‘I think it's femininely badass as fuck, because there's not a single muscle on my body that isn't for a purpose. Because I'm not a do-nothing bitch.’

The Birthday Suits Queen Bey graced the stage in not one, but seven haute stage outfits on the big night – working every show-off fashion trend from spray-on boots to the frong. Now that’s what we call a birthday look.

The Card To top it all off, Beyoncé posted this artwork by the masterful Blue Ivy to Instagram. 'Til next year folks...
