Beyoncé opens up about being a mum to Blue Ivy, and shares her inspiring messgae about beauty and imperfections...

Beyoncé has tackled the subject of feminism in an inspiring new video, following last week’s surprise release of her self-titled album.

As if SEVENTEEN videos to accompany the new record weren’t enough, Bey has now uploaded this behind-the-scenes number to YouTube.

And it’s pretty amazing.

‘My message behind this album was finding the beauty and imperfection,’ Beyoncé explains from her studio chair.

Cutting to clips of her new videos and home footage of Jay Z and Blue Ivy, the Bow Down songstress talks through her vision of feminism and embracing imperfections.

‘The reality is, sometimes you lose. And you're never too good to lose, you're never too big to lose, you're never too smart to lose, it happens. And it happens when it needs to happen. And you have to embrace those things,’ she says, admitting that even Queen B has to admit defeat sometimes.’

‘I have a lot of awards and I have a lot of these things that are amazing and I worked my ass off,’ she adds. ‘I worked harder than probably anyone I know to get those things. But nothing feels like my child saying, 'Mommy!' Nothing feels like when I look my husband in the eyes.’
