Beyoncé has returned from her luxury birthday break in Ibiza, by kicking off the South American leg of her Mrs Carter World Tour with an intimate press conference in Brazil yesterday.

Before taking to the stage for another glitzy performance in her tiny embellished leotards, the superstar spoke to reporters about the next stage of her tour – and why she made the decision to bring her 21-month-old daughter along for the ride.

Dressed in a pair of ripped denim shorts, a blue tribal print blouse and a pair of black shoe boots, with her new shorter hair teased into loose, curly locks, Beyoncé said: 'I'm touring with my daughter for the first time and my dream has always been able to balance my life and my career.'

Beyoncé has spent the last week celebrating her 32nd birthday on a luxury yacht in Ibiza with her hubby Jay Z, Blue Ivy and a bunch of their closest friends. But it's back to work for Queen B now, as she kicks off the South American leg of her tour, before heading to Australia, and then rounding up the Mrs Carter World Tour in North America at the end of September.

Last night, she openly discussed her reluctance to be apart from baby Blue, saying: 'I think it's something women always struggle with because it's so difficult having a career and being a mother, but when I'm able to travel to places like Brazil it makes me so proud that she's able to experience these different cultures and meet all these amazing people and eat all this amazing food at such a young age. So it makes me really proud of my job.'

Sounds like the best job in the world. Now, how do we get an invitation onto that yacht?
