Ashton Kutcher: I slept around before Demi

Ashton Kutcher has revealed he was a serial ladies' man before he settled down with wife Demi Moore.

The hot-blooded Hollywood hottie was living the high-life in New York - and bed-hopping as much as possible.

He revealed: 'Social conditioning raises guys to get laid. I think I was very much like this myself. I had no desire to be in a relationship whatsoever.

'I had sworn myself off relationships before I met Demi.

'At the time we met I was in New York partying and I was hosting Saturday Night Live and I was saying to myself, "I am going to party, I’m going to sleep with this girl and that girl."

'And then I met my wife. As soon as you make that decision not to have a relationship, you will find one.'

Critics wrote off the relationship as a flash-in-the-pan - at 45, Demi is 15 years older than Ashton - but the happy couple wed three years ago and are still going strong.

Ashton became stepdad to Demi's three kids, Rumer, 19, Scout, 16, and Tallulah, 14, who she had with ex-husband Bruce Willis. Although Ashton admits he had to get over his ego where Demi's ex was concerned, he now says that Bruce is 'one of my favourite guys to hang out with'.

And as for his own parenting skills? 'I don’t think anybody should be allowed to grow up without doing some physical, blue-collar labour at some point.

'I had Rumer work on a construction site with my dad for a while and Scout just went to Guatemala working for Habitat For Humanity and helped build a house.

'Tallulah just turned 14 so I told her she’s going to have to get a job soon.'

Ashton and Demi don’t have any kids together - yet. But the broody What Happens in Vegas star wouldn’t rule it out.

He says: 'I think some day we would really like to have children, it’s about nature running its course.

'I don’t know about right now because I’m really busy working.

'And Demi’s going to Pennsylvania to start a film so I think it would be hard to balance all of that right now with having kids.'

Ashton grew up in a cash-poor family in rural Iowa and won a place at university to study biochemical engineering.

He swept Cheerios in the local cereal factory and skinned deer in a butcher’s to pay for his tuition and help support the family. And, although his earnings have sky-rocketed, it's a life lesson he values.

He says: 'I don’t think you appreciate anything until you earn it.'
