Angelina Jolie is rumoured to be making her first post-surgery appearance at the premiere of World War Z.

Angelina Jolie is rumoured to be making a brave return to the red carpet this weekend, for what will be her first public appearance following her recent double mastectomy.

The A-list actress is thought to be joining Brad Pitt for the world premiere of his new movie, World War Z, in London this Sunday. The event is set to be a huge affair, with many of the world's media attending, and British band Muse performing a major set.

Angelina has kept a relatively low profile since making the announcement that she had a preventative double mastectomy, in a moving interview with the New York Times. If she does appear at the premiere, it will be the first time she's been photographed since having the operation.

And according to reports, she's not done with the procedures. It was revealed recently that Angelina plans to have her ovaries removed, which will further reduce her risk of developing cancer.

Even if Angelina decides not to walk the red carpet on Sunday, it's possible she'll still visit London with her six children, to join and support Brad on the publicity circuit. The actor is likely to face dozens of questions from the press about his wife's brave decision, her recovery and the couple's wedding plans.

Angelina tragically lost her Aunt to breast cancer over the weekend. If she does come to London, she's likely to be met with the warmest welcome a star has ever seen. We'll keep you posted...
