Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty set to duet together at tonight's MTV Europe Music Awards
AMY WINEHOUSE WILL be flown into Munich tonight to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
In an attempt to add a little pizzazz to proceedings at the awards, it is rumoured Amy will be joined by Pete Doherty to duet with the soul singer.
The event’s organisers hope the troubled pair will add a bit of rock ‘n’ roll to the night, but with neither singer presenting a particularly clean-living lifestyle, the organisers are taking a serious gamble.
Amy is nominated for three gongs at the awards, but no one previously knew if the 24-year-old would turn up to the event.
Now she plans to work out a duet with Pete and get it on the schedule for tonight.
A source told The Sun: ‘The organisers wanted to add a bit of danger to what is the squeaky-clean boyband of award shows. They’ve certainly done that.’
Babyshambles are set to perform their last single, Delivery, and Amy will perform one of her hits before the pair take to the stage together.
Meanwhile awards host, Snoop Dogg, has revealed he and David Beckham plan to make a big blockbuster movie together. ‘David has the dollars at his disposal and we’re talking about putting our money together to do a movie. It’s incredibly exciting.’
