American Apparel aren’t strangers to a controversial fashion campaign, but their latest lingerie advert is a refreshing move.
Introducing the latest face of their underwear line via Facebook, the LA-based brand posted a snap of 62-year-old model Jacky O’Shaughnessy wearing their new collection of bandeau bras and lace knickers.
Although a regular face for American Apparel’s Advanced Basics range, it’s the first time Jacky has fronted their lingerie line.
‘Sexy has no expiration date,’ is the inspiring tag line which accompanies the new campaign, showing Jacky modelling a set of lacy smalls with a slick of pink lipstick.
Confidence aside, Jacky’s tumbling locks are an instant source of envy – styled into the sort of light waves we expect from any uber-cool AA girl.
Nice work American Apparel, it’s a firm thumbs up from us.
