Adele Celebrates Turning 27 By Dressing Up As George Michael And The Pictures Are Amazing, Obviously

The singer pays homage to the Wham! icon by wearing one of the best fancy dress costumes we have ever seen.

Adele has never been one to flaunt her private life all over social media.

So when she does decide to post something online, we can’t help but feel just a teensy little bit excited to learn about what she’s been up to.

The singer – who was propelled to global stardom back in 2008 after releasing her debut album 19 – turned 27 earlier this week and marked the momentous occasion in a pretty memorable way.

She, erm, decided to dress up her George Michael and boy oh boy are we glad she treated the world to a couple of pictures.

Thank you for the birthday wishes I had a wonderful time,’ she happily told her 22.6 million Twitter followers.

I was my hero x #gottahavefaith.’

We’re sure you won’t be shocked to hear that Adele can be seen rocking an uh-mazing costume in the incredible snaps.

The Grammy award-winning star sports a heavily backcombed honey-hued quiff and has stubble peppered all around her jaw.

And totally reminiscent of Wham! icon George, 51, in his Faith days, Adele wears a low-cut white T-shirt beneath a black leather biker jacket.

A dangly earring and pair of supersized aviator-style shades completes her transformation. The only prop that seems to be missing is a guitar.

This might just be one of the best fancy dress costumes we have ever seen.

Of course, Adele’s upload sent fans into a frenzy with many appearing to be at quite a loss for words. But, seriously, can you blame them?!

@OfficialAdele what is this picture omg i am screaming,’ one mused.

Another excitedly chipped in: ‘OMG I LOVE YOU QUEEN.’

Adele’s not the only celebrity to have celebrated getting older by becoming someone else in recent weeks.

Hollywood actress Kate Hudson recently donned neon fishnets and a tiny pink dress to kick off her 36th year on the planet at her very own ‘hot mess’ gathering.
