Dakota Fanning debuts new brunette hairstyle on Instagram

We're more used to seeing Dakota Fanning with ice cool blonde locks, but this weekend the actress debuted a new brunette hairstyle.

A picture posted onto the social media site, Instagram, shows the Twilight star with rich chocolate brown tresses as she poses alongside a fan.

HAIR CHAMELEONS: BLONDE VS BRUNETTE

Since Dakota has yet to hit the red carpet with the dark hairstyle, we're unsure as to whether she dyed it for an upcoming film role or whether she just hit the bottle because she fancied a change.

Either way, the teen actress isn't the only one switching from blonde to brunette. Dakota is the latest in a string of celebrities who have recently made the colour change, including X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos and pop star Rihanna.
