Italian fashion house Gucci announced Blake Lively as their new face back in June, and now we get to see the finished results as the Gossip Girl star channels old school Hollywood glamour in the advert for the label's Premiere fragrance.
The clip opens with a dramatic shot of Blake standing by a giant window in a plush Los Angeles apartment wearing a stunning backless fishtail gown covered in shimmering gold sequins. With her long blonde hair styled in Veronica Lake-inspired waves, she then spritzs some of the new scent onto her neck, enters a lift and is bedazzled by the view of city's bright lights.

In another scene inspired by the movie industry and Hollywood, the actress is seen walking through a desert landscape in a ruffled teal gown and towering heels surrounded by a film crew.
The commercial was shot by Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn who has clearly referenced the 2011 LA film noir, which starred Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan, in the promo in everything from the twinkling Hollywood skyline and the lift scene to the electro-tinged soundtrack courtesy of French musician M83.
Blake follows in the well-heeled footsteps of fellow actress Evan Rachel Wood and Australian model Abbey Lee Kershaw as the face of Gucci fragrance.
