A hair makeover is an age-old reaction to a break-up, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Kate Boworth, fresh from splitting from Alexander Skarsgard, has tried out a new look.

However, it's the new look in question that's the surprise....

Known for her signature honey-hued locks, Ms Bosworth stepped out with a dipped-dyed new 'do last night, revealing a aqua blue tinge to her tresses.

A far cry from the preened-to-perfection California girl look we've come to expect from the Hollywood starlet, she's barely strayed from the same glossy mid-length blonde locks throughout her career.
