PICS! Jen Aniston launches fragrance in Harrods - Beauty, Celebrity, News, Jennifer Aniston, London, Marie Claire

Now, it's no secret that we're pretty big fans of Jennifer Aniston on the MC Online desk, so naturally we were very, very excited when we heard that our favourite Friend was coming to London to launch her debut fragrance...

And of course, Jen being Jen, she didn't let us down.

A smiling Miss Aniston hit Harrods this lunchtime, in a gorgeous nude-hued Valentino frock and sky-high heels.

With hoards of fans having turned out hoping to catch a glimpse of their A-list idol, Jennifer kept the crowds well entertained by grabbing the mic and welcoming everyone to the Knightsbridge store.

Talking about her debut perfume, the actress explained that she tried very hard to ensure that her fragrance stood apart from the rest of the celebrity scents.

'I am not a big perfume-y, fragrance fan,' she admitted.

'I want people to go 'What is that? You smell great!' but most of all, I wanted it to smell natural.'

Jen also made time to pose for a couple of snaps with store boss Mohamed Al Fayad - and a Harrods teddy, of course.

The 41-year-old has previously said that she really put her all into the development of the scent.

'It wasn't just about showing up for a shoot and putting my name on a bottle,' she explained.

'I felt a little like a chemist. It's turned out to be an extension of myself as opposed to just slapping my name on something.'

There has however, been some confusion over the name of the scent...

Despite being marketed for weeks under the name Lolavie, it now appears that it's been launched under the simple title of Jennifer Aniston instead - with all new posters and campaign images, and even the bottle itself being stripped of its initial name.

But the mystery surrounding the name of the fragrance didn't do much to deter the hundreds of fans gathered, and Jen spent ages meeting, greeting and signing bottles that had been purchased in the store.

I am so excited about this fragrance and hope it will be on sale in America very soon because I will be checking it out. I hope she will keep the name "Lolavie", it's such a lovely name for a fragrance.
