It was all change for Katie Holmes last night - while we're used to clocking her walking the red carpet with hubbie Tom Cruise, she hit The Extra Man premiere solo, and debuted a new curly 'do, to boot.

The actress wore her signature dark chocolate locks in loose ringlet curls and showed off a new shorter side-swept fringe.

While loose curls are something of a Holmes signature, she typically errs towards gentle waves rather than this more structured look.

Mrs Cruise was out to promote her latest movie, in which she stars alongside John C. Reilly and Kevin Kline. Keeping things low key, she opted for a casual vibe in a striped Celine jumper dress and black Roger Vivier Belle de Nuit pumps.

Her hair look great, but what is she wearing?! The shoes don't match the dress at all (which isn't premiere appropriate) and are horrible.
