Heidi Klum's new layered bob: love or hate?

Not a fan at all ....makes her face look really old and changes the shape of her nose !!

Amazing what a hair do can do !!!

Grow it back asap !

Is there some rediculous rule that says women over 40 can't have long hair? This has aged Heidi at least 10 years. I recommend hair extensions or a wig...

God, it looks absolutely awful. The layers are very chunky and do nothing for her at all! Now she just looks like a quite pretty 40 yr old mum, not a stunning supermodel!

Oh no!! Heidi's new haircut does not suit her at all. It's s strange length and the feathering at the sides just makes her look a lot older and quite frumpy. She should have kept it long or at least a much sleeker bob.

Right away I thought it makes her look older. long hair can sometimes make an older women look younger. I think if I cut my own hair I would look older.

Yes it makes her look older, to that there is no question, but why is that necessarily a bad thing? And before you ask or presume, Im 36. I just think it has made her look mature and grown up, but not necessarily in a bad or negative way. She still looks beautiful just in a more elegant and sophisticated way, but its still at an equivalent level! And hair dressers will tell you that it is indeed a fact that once a woman gets past 35 long hair in the majority of cases just excentuates the aged look to the face.

Heidi has got lovely hair so to make it look average is not easy to do, and that's what this hair makes her look - average. She should sack this stylist because her hair usually looks great. It's not terrible but she can look waaaay better!

Well it wasn't what I was expecting but it does do some great things for her face. She looks more groomed and projects so much more personality (and intelligence) than with the ubiquitous long haired look. - Oh, and yes, technically she should look older - this is a before and after!!

It looks like a high school photo from the 70s. If only she'd at least gone for a 'wow' colour to counteract the style she might have pulled it off. Looks like she's about to pick up her kids from school.. might be right..

Blimey alot of new hair haters out there, judging of the two photos above is difficult and I think once it's out there abit more people will like it. I personally think its very 60's and pretty, I think long hair on older ladies can look abit odd

Her outfit really isn't helping either. I don't agree that it makes her seem more intelligent - you shouldn't need short hair to seem intelligent. It's very stereotypical to say it defines her in a different way such as 'sophisticated' it just doesn't look as good. It's not an 'on trend' style.

It's quite hard to judge from that picture - to me she's got that look we can all identify with of 'eek, I've just had my hair cut short and I'm not quite sure what to do with it'! Personally I'm glad she's ditched the long blonde hair, it's so unoriginal. You'd think it was the only hairstyle available to judge by all the celebrity women who have it!!

I love it! I think she looks pretty and sophisticated with that haircut. It kind of looks like a stereotypical "French" haircut. I also don't think it makes her look older.

Love it, she's a mummy now she probably had it tied in a bun all the time when it was long. It's only hair it's not like it won't ever grow again.
