Mischa Barton stepped out yesterday sporting an ultra-chic new blond ‘do.

Swapping her trademark raven tresses for a brand new strawberry blond style, the O.C. star also had several inches chopped off her usually long locks.

It's been a tough few months for the star following a stint in rehab and the cancellation of her ‘comeback' show, The Beautiful Life.

But lovely Mischa looked better than ever as she exited the exclusive Byron & Tracey salon in Los Angeles, where she's spent hours having her tresses tended.

And after a dramatic colour change, stylists swept the star's new blond locks in to a chic side ‘do.

Mischa just had time for a quick powder touch-up before dashing out of the salon.

The stylish star stepped out in a super-glam blue and red fifties-style dress, completing her new look with a splash of siren-red lipstick.
