Cheryl Cole - Rodial?s Glamoxy Snake Serum - Beauty News - Marie Claire

The fresh-faced Cheryl Cole is the latest celeb fan to discover the new beauty must-have - dubbed ‘botox in a bottle.'

Rodial's Glamoxy Snake Serum freezes muscles, by re-enacting the effect of a viper's venom on the human body.

The non-invasive formula is thought to be 100% safe, and can be applied twice a day to achieve visibly smoother skin.

But how does it work? The cream contains the aptly named Syn-Ake - a neuropeptide that mimics the reaction caused by the bite of a South-East Asian Temple Viper, resulting in a freezing effect on facial muscles.

To many, it might not sound like something you want anywhere near your skin.

But with celebs including Kate Moss, Katie Holmes and Naomi Campbell also going crazy for the cream, demand looks set to be huge when the product hits stores next week - with UK advance orders already topping 100,000.

Trials demonstrated that after applying the serum, wrinkles were less noticeable after just 90 seconds, with an incredible 52% reduction within 28 days.

‘After two years of research and development to find the ultimate muscle freezer, I am very excited to be launching the Glamoxy Snake Serum,' says Rodial's president, Maria Hatzistefanis.

'There is no other product in the market right now with such amazing and instant results, it's simply the best.'

I have been using Aldi's Wrinkle Stop (£6.99) which also contains Syn-Ake and this works very well. Stopped using it for a while (couldn't get to the store) and noticed a big difference within days. A big difference in price but the results are very good.
