According to a recent survey by the New York Times, Gossip Girl Blake Lively has the most sought after hairstyle from the ladies who sit in the hairdressser's chair.

Remember how everyone went mad for Jennifer Aniston's hair when she had it cut into that shaggy face-framing bob during her early days in Friends?

The ‘Rachel Green' had stylistas worldwide rushing to the salon to copy the cut, but that was, like, so 1994...

Now it seems that we all have a new, more modern hair crush.

Yes, this is the decade of the Blake barnet, as according to salon experts, their customers are all requesting the long, mussed-up tresses of Serena van der Woodsen.

Blake says that although she was often complimented on her hair, she ‘didn't really realise the extent of it.'

With fashion followers constantly fixating on her tumbling tresses, she admits that: ‘It's always kind of odd, but it's unbelievably flattering.'

I've always thought that Blake had lovely hair, but I think her secret is probably just having a team of stylists on hand at all times!

I'm not too sure why this hairstyle is so special as lots of girls have long flowing hair just like this. Dannii Minogue's new hairstyle is very glam and beats this hands down.

Blake's hair is lovely but not a real style. it looks more like its just been let to grow. i much prefer the style Rachel had

Blake has nice hair, but the style has been around forever. It's not a distinctive cut the way the Rachel was. For example, my hair is long and naturally wavy, and you could say that it looks like a brunette version of Blake's, but it's just the way my hair happens to be when it's long. It's not like I brought a picture of her to the salon the way you would have had to bring a picture of Jen to get the Rachel.
