SEE Cheryl Cole's first L'Oréal campaign
By Lucy Hutchings on Monday 28 September 2009
Cheryl Cole's first campaign for L'Oréal Paris has landed - and unsurprisingly, she looks her gorgeous and glossy best.
Putting that famous mane to good use, the Girls Aloud beauty stars in ads for Elvive Full Restore 5 - L'Oréal's first hair care range that targets British women's four key hair issues: weak, limp, lifeless, dull and straw-like locks.
As for Mrs C, and not only does she show off her flawless tumbling 'do, she looks positively radiant in a little red dress and glowing make-up.
Exclusive behind-the-scenes shots reveal the starlet getting ready for her close-up, as she prepares to utter the iconic, 'Because you're worth it.'

The latest solo project for the singer, the campaign lands as Cheyl's first ever solo single, Fight for this Love is dominating the airwaves, ahead of the October release of her debut album - 3 Words.

is it not odd to promote hair cair products via someone who has extensions?! advertising standards anyone??
Comment by jm on September 28 12:50
amazing, just when you think she is at the top, she goes even highter! Best of luck cheryl
Comment by martin on September 28 12:56
I thought she had hair extensions - surely you can't be on an ad for great hair when it's not real?
Comment by Jenni on September 28 12:56
Amusing that she's promoting hair care when she's wearing extenstions....
Comment by Kay on September 28 12:59
Jealousy gets you know where people, i wish i had hair like hers. shes a real role model ! amazing ..
loveya cheryl xx
Comment by Robyn on September 28 13:23
Oh who cares if she has extensions, it's not like we don't know! She looks gorgeous - as ever!
Comment by Kitty on September 28 13:24
Surely many girls now a days have extensions and they all have to use products so whats the problem with promoting L'oreals......extensions or not!!
Comment by mc on September 28 13:43
I agree, you cant be advertising having fabulous hair due to a shampoo when its fake hair and nothing at all to do with the shampoo!
Comment by Louise on September 28 14:11
Almost every advert for hair products has small print at the bottom of the screen stating that they have been 'styled using natural hair extensions'. Davina McCalls ads are just one example..........
Comment by Colette on September 28 14:16
Well infact everyone who is on a Loreal Ad wears natural extentions, as long as the product there selling is used on the hair, i think she looks good.
Comment by Claire on September 28 14:26
I'm with everyone else re the hair extensions and is she well known enough to front this campaign.(they could have had me for free)
I know we all love "Saint Cheryl" but please, and I don't like her new single it's all a little bit V Beckham.
Cheryl bashing over.
Comment by Andrea on September 28 14:43
She has extensions!how natural are they?!!
Comment by suzie1234 on September 28 15:08
I do think she is very over-rated. she is gorgeous, but historically l'oreal have used A list super stars to promote their stuff, so its seemsquite odd to use the likes of Cheryl Cole. And thats not her hair! I think she is getting too big for her boots! but she is gorgeous!
Comment by fairy on September 28 15:43
I agree with other comments. Shame someone with "real" hair couldn't have been used but it's the same with mascaras these days. In the small print they all say "photographed with lash inserts" and most models are digitally altered. I just wish I had access to all these alterations lol!
Comment by Lesley on September 28 17:10
if you read the blurb at the bottom of most adverts ie Beyonce, Davina, Eva Longoria all have hair extensions just like mascara is always filmed with lash inserts.
Everything is fake!!
Comment by Fiona on September 28 18:01
Has no one realised that at the bottom of most L'Oreal hair product adverts it says in tiny writing 'styled using hair extensions'. Cheryls fake hair is no different to the other girls
Comment by Francesca on September 28 18:47
OMG r u serious cheryl for loreal...iMean seriously..i'm used to seein the likes of eva and other a-list stars..no offence she's REALLY beautiful and a good role model but i see her as more of a maybelline girl..
Comment by abbie on September 28 19:48
well having hair extensions wasnt a problem for them using beyonce either was it. but yes it is blatant false advertising they try and pass it off like its their own hair.
Comment by laliya on September 29 11:09
It is a product she is advertising for human hair, and if the product can help the human hair extensions look that good then it shows how versatile the products are.Surely from a customer and retailers point of view this can only be a win win situation.
Comment by Jill on September 29 11:20
She is amazing!!!
Comment by Carla on September 29 12:32
Hmmm but dont you know that for mascara ads it always says at the bottom that theyre wearing eyelash extensions? its the same thing
stop being so jelous
i think shes a beaut
Comment by Sarah on September 29 13:00
I know not all hair care brands use hair extensions in their ads and L'oreal should do the same. It's a shame they are promoting a product displaying fake hair. Do you really believe the product will work?
She is gorgeous but the ad is really fake!
Comment by Julia on September 30 08:36
...yes Cheryl is wearing extensions, but it's hardly anything to do with advertising standards because she isn't promoting anything that claims to make the hair look or grow longer!...why be negative, Cheryl looks fab!!!
Comment by GirlsAloudFan on September 30 09:24
Well it seems you can advertise mascara with lash extensions so there's no hope for anything remotely truthful these days it seems!
Comment by Sue on September 30 16:41
love her hair, and hope she does well for herself though its the same with all celebs, they just grab any work going to boost their name and i think she has stuck her feet in too many graves at once and also what happened to the other four who made her who she is today????? i aint heard anything of how they feel about this. cuz i would feel pretty annoyed if i was one of um lol
Comment by Emma on October 01 21:02
Jealousy Ladies, will get you knowhere, she has natural hair as well as her human hair extentions ...which believe it or not need hair care too!
Good luck Cheryl :)
