Cheryl Cole is new L’Oréal face
By Lucy Hutchings on Thursday 27 August 2009
Singer, TV star, and now model: is there anything Cheryl Cole can't do?
The Girls Aloud beauty is set to utter the iconic 'because you're worth it,' as the new brand spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris, joining its prestigious stable of celebrity faces, which includes Beyonce, Eva Longoria and Penelope Cruz.
Starring in ads from this September, the starlet will put her much-envied mane to good use, fronting the campaign for Elvive Full Restore 5, a new range that addresses the nation's 5 top hair concerns, in one formula.
And perhaps in preparation for her close-up, Mrs Cole has already ditched her short-lived cherry-red locks, and returned to her brunette ways.
Speaking on her new role, she commented, 'I am so excited to be working with L’Oréal Paris… It's an honour to join the list of glamorous and successful spokespeople associated with the brand… Every woman has the right to feel beautiful and L’Oréal Paris makes that aspiration achievable.'
L’Oréal Paris General Manager Gayle Tait added, 'Cheryl is a glamorous, stylish and talented young woman whose warmth and charm has captivated the nation and helped to establish her as an inspiration to women throughout the UK. Cheryl's striking beauty and much admired hair makes her the perfect ambassadress for L’Oréal Paris UK.'

I agree that Cheryl is absolutely and amazingly beautiful...but has everybody forgotten what a viper tongue the lady has?
All the public war-of-words she has entertained with other celebrity females...I'd hardly stamp her as an inspiration to women!

I agree that she is stunning, but her 'much admired hair' is extensions isn't it?? Isn't it time we had someone completely natural??

And that Gordy accent!!! Brilliant

Ok, she's a very attractive woman - but there are plenty of those around. You'd think she was the only beautiful woman in the UK the way people rant incessantly on about her! Shiny, bouncy hair, granted, she's got that too - but so have plenty of others that walk down my high street. Talent - um...I'm trying really hard here......nope.............can't agree on that one...

Aine It's a broad Geordie accent !
No she does not deserve the attention she gets but if you push hard enough and are a footballers wife seems the sky is the limit, regardless of talent, looks etc

I agree with Diane.... she is pretty... but would she inspire me to buy Loreal products....NO! I might be inspired to go down to my nearest beauty salon or nearest hair extension specialist and get my main vamped. Don't you just hate those adverts when they say the model is "wearing hair extensions" or they've added "lash inserts"?! They should have someone who has naturally beautiful hair.

Obviously ethics were not involved in her decision - L'Oreal test on animals.

Personally I've never really understood the obsession with Cheryl or her hair, and I'm a big Girls Aloud fan! Don't get me wrong of course she is attractive but in her band alone I wouldn't dub her the prettiest or the one with the nicest hair. But then I suppose it can be hard to see the beauty when someone seems to have such a bad personality.
